Flower World

One of the nicest places to visit locally for a pleasant walk and to get wonderful garden ideas or bring home a new plant is Flower World Nursery and park. Located on fifteen acres it's one of the largest retail nurseries on the west coast.  Recently, I drove out there with a friend to see what was new.  If you are a plant lover then this is Plant Heaven.  My pictures are a combination of this visit as well as a visit I made the end of last summer with my cousin.

There are three acres of green houses, which means that even on a rainy day you can come out and enjoy the flowers.

The pottery shed is always worth a look and if you like garden sculptures there are plenty of those as well.

After a tour of the greenhouses there is still the five acre park waiting to be explored.  I love strolling around and enjoying the ponds, fountains and pathways. It's a wonderful tranquil space.

These guys are year round residents and surprisingly well mannered for geese.

Whether in the wild or in a park, our natural world is truly a gift.

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you;  or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.  Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?  In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.

Job 12:7-10

Adieu!

  1. I didn't realize Flower World was so large. We drove by it just last week on our way home from our kids' home in North Bothell on our way to highway 2 and home. Hope your week is going well.
